Confidentiality and its limits
What you share stays between you and Finlandic Care. We share information only with your consent, or when someone's safety is at serious risk, or when the law requires us to act. We explain this openly at the start of the work.
Child safeguarding
The wellbeing and safety of children come first in everything we do.
- Vetting. Every professional is background-checked before joining us, following the rules of the country where they work.
- Home visits. A parent or guardian is present or at home during sessions with a child, unless agreed otherwise in the support plan. Professionals do not transport children, give gifts or contact children privately outside agreed channels.
- Online sessions. Sessions with children take place through our secure meeting links, with the parent or guardian informed.
- Concerns. If a professional believes a child is at risk of harm, they follow our escalation procedure and the mandatory-reporting law of the country concerned. Wherever it is safe to do so, we tell the family first.
- Training. Professionals receive safeguarding training and regular supervision.
Professional conduct
Our professionals keep clear professional boundaries, respect cultural and religious norms, keep accurate and confidential records, and work within their competence. When clinical care is needed, they help you connect with a licensed local provider.
